Usually I try to stay out of local discussions (arguments). But I have decided to make an exception in this case. I went and read the questionair. Seems very up-front to me. It seems that the government wants local input on a subject that will effect each and every resident. Some will say that it is...

I can see the world terrorist leaders making thier plans on where to attack next. Yes, Seil should be right on top, that and possibly the Luing Ferry.

Rest easy, I think Seil, Luing and Easdale will last another day.

We have noticed that the wee gnomes and our ducks and geese are fueding. They each want the prime spots near the front hedges. The gnomes have moved the cauldron out in the yard and have been trying to lure a goose into it. Christmas is nearly upon us and they are getting a head start.

Gnome Rescue facility

Let it be known that there is a gnome rescue facility available for any unwanted gnomes. They are free to frolic on a 5 acre farm without fear of persecution. Each Gnome is assured a loving and safe home.

So gather up all the gnomes and ship them here. I will put on the kettle for them.

This might be a great way to get my garden dug. Plant a small box of trinkets in the middle of it and have a bunch of people come dig everything up for me for free. This sounds like a good plan.

I just read in the papers that SNP took the election by one seat. Good on you. A small step, but a step none the less.

Scottish Elections

Wow!!! I thought the elections here in the U.S. were screwed up. What happened? I was expecting to hear that the SNP had steam-rolled the other parties and Scotland was on its way to independence. It should be good reading on the papers over the next week.

My wife and I were just discussing that the best mussels and scallops we ever had were in a restraunt in Oban. I do so miss the seafood from Scotland. That and we can't get a decent pint here in the States. :( I just got finished reading the Oban Times on-line. I see that housing prices are still ou...

I must confess that I am not knowledgable about what types of fish can be caught off the coast of Seil. That being said though, it would be interesting to see a small fishing fleet based out of the area. This would provide jobs not only for the fishermen but processing facilities and other anicillar...

I have made no secret that I would love to emigrate to Seil. But alas, the dollar to pound situation makes this a no go. Plus with the rising costs of houseing in the U.K., I am amazed that those of you there now can afford to live. I have recently recieved several e-mails from couples in the U.K. i...
